About us


The mission of WCO is to promote the business interests of the worldwide containerboard industry through services and activities that support and supplement those provided by national and regional trade associations.

To achieve this objective, WCO

  • collects, prepares and circulates statistics on containerboard and recovered paper

  • analyses statistics to provide members with market surveys on the development of shipments and consumption, production and capacity utilisation, etc.

  • carries out research on market forecasts, capacity development, supply and demand balances, etc.

  • serves as a center of communication

  • coordinates the industry position (standardisations, life cycle analysis, etc.)

  • liaises with national and international trade associations (ICCA, FEFCO, AF & PA)

  • constitutes a meeting forum for the above issues

 

Structure of WCO

Membership

  • Association members are producers of containerboard. The raw material furnish may be based on primary or recovered fiber.

General Assembly

  • The General Assembly is the official body of the association. It elects the Board of Directors.

Board of Directors

  • The general business of WCO is managed by the Board of Directors.
